The mission is to promote and enhance the role of  NGOs in the  development of Malawi; to improve the operational environment within which NGOs operate; to promote and facilitate coordination, collaboration and cooperation within the NGO community, the government of Malawi, the donor community and the commercial sector in Malawi; help members to develop strong institutional capacity; to further the standing of NGOs as competent, professional and suitable agents for development
